Terras de Timbotuba

Shipping Protection is in the process of transforming a 1,700-hectare area in the municipality of Alcântara, within the territory of the Environmental Protection Area (APA) of the Maranhão indentations, into a permanent environmental protection reserve (Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural – RPPN Shipping Protection)*, dedicated to biodiversity conservation, scientific research, and positive community impact.
Our mission is deeply rooted in social commitment: a private school offering full scholarships to children and adolescents from neighbouring communities will also be built in the region, as education stands as a key pillar of our vision for shared growth and opportunity.
The social impact has already been present: Shipping Protection employs residents, ensuring fair wages and structured benefits, reinforcing dignity and inclusion through decent work.

Company initiative to provide social support to people from the countryside who come to the capital seeking medical treatment, especially cancer treatment, offering free accommodation and food, in a renovated former hotel in the historic centre of São Luís, Maranhão, in partnership with Casa de Apoio Viver.
